The interior of Andalusia is as varied as it is impressive. Special mention should be made of the mountain range between Málaga and Cádiz and its white villages. From far away, the traveller distinguishes the white dots on the hillsides and the ravines filled with ilex and pine trees. A lot of villages have castles evidencing their Moorish past.
