The Interior

The interior of Andalusia is as varied as it is impressive. Special mention should be made of the mountain range between Málaga and Cádiz and its white villages. From far away, the traveller distinguishes the white dots on the hillsides and the ravines filled with ilex and pine trees. A lot of villages have castles evidencing their Moorish past. They are the special features that give each of these villages its own specific character. Steep and narrow alleys, passageways giving access to stables and dwellings, arched buttresses sustaining the façades and red-tile roofs on shining whitewashed walls characterise these villages. – Go to Lifestyle
