El Faro is a small housing development for vacationers approximately 4 km from Fuengirola in the direction of Marbella. El Faro is one of the oldest developments of the Costa del Sol, consisting basically of independent chalets and lots of green areas. In addition to several restaurants, a rent-a-car and a supermarket, El Faro boasts a large swimming pool. Its adequate communication network and central location between Málaga and Marbella have converted it into a very popular place for vacationers and winter residents, although it is also much appreciated by Spanish nationals.
